Where it happens: Wearable devices continuously transmit physiological data to the monitoring center, and the abnormal cases are identified through AI analysis of big data, prompting notifications to physicians. Patients are directed to nearby pharmacies for self-assessment or scheduled medical consultations. The future, where homes, hospitals and pharmacies are all digitally connected, is now, and will be, in the Min-Sheng Smart Medical City.

The market for global smart hospitals is projected to reach $160 billion by 2025. ShareHope Medicine Co., Ltd., incorporating entities including Min-Sheng Hospital, Smart Clinic, Harvard Clinic, Yes Chain Pharmacy, Techgroup Information Co., Ltd., and the Digimed Co., Ltd., services a daily capacity of 100,000 patients and customers. Collaborating with Taiwanese startups, medical device companies, and technology partners across diverse fields, they establish the Min-Sheng Smart Medical City as a comprehensive demonstration site.
At the 2023 Healthcare+ Expo, a showcase organised by Missioncare Medicine and its affiliated companies will stage their gen-AI for medical records, outpatient app, smart ward and more solutions developed with aims at digital transformation in primary care.

Multi-lingual ChatGPT for Medical Use, Converting Speech into Text
Doctors often juggle questioning and examining patients whilst manually inputting data into the system. Now, through collaboration between Techgroup Information Co., Ltd., Digimed Co., Ltd., and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the Hermes Healthcare Smart Voice System has been developed. This system translates spoken words directly into text, eliminating the need for manual data entry and easing the burden on on-site medical staff.
As the Hermes Healthcare Smart Voice System is specifically designed for the healthcare and wellness sectors, it boasts a high recognition rate for medical terms and jargons. Currently, it can accurately recognize Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Hakka. In the future, the system aims to integrate technologies such as Microsoft Azure, ChatGPT for Chinese-speaking healthcare workers, and machine learning. The goal is to create a Chinese version of ChatGPT tailored for healthcare professionals. They are also planning to collaborate with Microsoft to develop Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for Healthcare. This initiative aims to establish a global open standard for healthcare interoperable resources. The goal is to connect approximately 20,000 clinics in Taiwan, including Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and dental clinics, by linking diagnostic recommendations and treatment care plans.

Outpatient App: A Paperless Journey from Check-in to Medication Pick-up
Smart Clinics change the way people make appointments using only computers and consume a lot of papers for check-ins and medication collection. Techgroup Information Co., Ltd., and Digimed Co., Ltd., under the ShareHope Medicine Co., Ltd., have jointly planned and implemented the Smart Clinic App, utilising the next-generation smart healthcare information system (DIGI-HIS). Patients can use the app to schedule appointments online, set pre-visit push notifications, and on the day of the appointment, they can electronically check in and check their visit progress. Physiological measurement data before the appointment is also synchronised to the app's personal account. Post-visit health information and medication instructions are also pushed to the app for patients or their family members.
Even physiological data such as blood pressure and pulse measured at the pharmacy will be synchronised to the app, providing subsequent health tracking and medical care consultations, allowing healthcare professionals to better understand the patient's actual condition.

Transforming Pharmacies into Community Health Management Centres
The smart healthcare solutions at Min-Sheng Smart Medical City also include integrating information such as registration and calling systems, self-service physiological measurement systems, self-service registration and payment machines, smart wards, intelligent ophthalmic records, and health analysis devices into Microsoft Azure and the in-house DIGI-HIS system. Many of these instruments are designed to offer customized solutions for different medical institutions.
For example, in the waiting area, using facial recognition can detect the gender and age of the patients, providing the clinic with clear insights into revisit rates of patients during different time periods. AI can then accurately push tailored health information, events, and health products suitable for them. This system not only meets the needs of the 13 medical specialties at Min-Sheng Smart Medical City but can also be easily applied to various clinics and pharmacies.

The Yes Pharmacy chain, equipped with smart detection devices and fitness equipment, offers health consultations and nutritional advice based on measurement data provided by pharmacists. All the data can be linked to the Smart Clinic App for subsequent health tracking and medical consultations. This transformation turns the pharmacy into more than just a traditional place for picking up and purchasing medications—it becomes a community health management center.
The interior of Min-Sheng Smart Medical City, specifically the Healthy Residence, integrates the innovative concept of a "Medical Mall" from European and American medical systems with Taiwan's strengths in information technology. This allows people to experience a "Healthy Long Stay" at this facility. In the future, they also hope to invite domestic smart healthcare product vendors, preventive medicine specialists, health management equipment providers, and wearable measurement device manufacturers to collaborate.
