"Sense Innovation" works exclusively with the eye-tracking device developer Tobii Dynavox as a local expert in Taiwan and is also capable of developing gaze-interaction software. Since 2015, Sense Innovation has been developing various types of eye-tracking softwares that encourage independence for people with disabilities to communicate and work on a computer via eye control. This year, Sense Innovation will demonstrate a new generation of eye gaze-enabled device, the "TD I-Series," at the Health Care Expo and will unveil two newly-released softwares to the public. gaOne is "The Eyeland"—an eye-tracking visual perception assessment software—. The other is "The Sense AEye", an eye-tracking E-learning platform complete with teaching materials, tools and resources.
TD I-Series is a Windows-based all-in-one device that can be controlled completely with the eyes. It comes in 16-inch and 13-inch screen sizes, suitable for the physically-challenged such as ALS, CP, MD, spinal cord injury, Stroke and TBI patients. TD-I Series is screen-operable with either the eye or the touch, or with a mouse or special switches. The built-in features it comes with include the AAC communication software known as TD Snap, the eye-control training software known as Communicator 5 and Sensory Eye FX 2 and the eye tracking analysis software known as Gaze Viewer. These tools empower not only the speech therapists to help patients with eye muscle rehabilitation and speech therapy, but the solution to address communication challenges between healthcare providers and aphasic patients. The device has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, offering 360-degree protection against splashes. It can be operated with either one or both eyes and is usable even in outdoor sunlight.
TD Pilot is an iPadOS-based eye-controlled communication device designed for iOS systems. It meets Apple's performance standards in any way, with a user-friendly design that offers individuals with disabilities limitless possibilities for exploration. It supports eye control, touch, scanning, and special switches, making it suitable for users with various disabilities. The device includes the AAC communication software known as TD Snap, with a rear-facing Partner Window for more natural face-to-face conversations, allowing for real-time communication between the user and caregiver. The eye-controlled device for Apple’s iPadOS accessibility features, enabling tasks such as playing around with multiple apps, engaging in social media, playing games, and watching videos, catering to the diverse needs of users.
"The Eyeland" is an eye-tracking visual perception assessment software co-developed by Sense Innovation and occupational therapist Chen Yi Chieh from OFun Education who makes this happen with her 15 years of clinical experience from Medical Service Center. It covers five major themes: visual discrimination, visual spatial-relationship, visual sequential-memory, visual figure-ground, visual closure and visual form-constancy. The software is suitable for children aged 3-10 who are undergoing changes in development. After completing the assessment, it generates performance reports and gaze plots for each level, enabling therapists to accurately understand the user's eye-control visual perception abilities and to formulate customized training goals.
"SenseAEye Eye-Tracking E-Learning Platform” is the first subscription-based e-platform for Rehab and Training via eye-tracking technology. It comes with various types of eye-tracking softwares, diverse and rich educational audiovisuals, and visual representations of eye movement data. Therapists, parents, and rehabilitation and educational institutions can access platform content based on the individual's needs. The platform quantifies each user's "key indicators of eye-tracking," such as visual attention, saccade, and fixation ability. It uses gaze plots and heatmaps to accurately assess the user's eye-tracking capabilities, helping therapists to utilize these data insights to optimize teaching goals.
We bring "SenseAEye Eye-Tracking E-Learning Platform" online to do what no one has ever done before by providing one-on-one personalized teaching, reducing the urban-rural disparity in eye-tracking resources and promoting the accessibility of eye-tracking rehabilitation. The platform offers all kinds of flexible subscription plans for individuals, educators, and professional institutions, significantly offloading the burden it places on users while providing an all-inclusive solution.
