Visa Application

Depending on the purpose of visit, international visitors need to apply visa prior to their trip to Taiwan. Please see visa types and visa-exempt entry here.

In general, foreign nationals apply for visitor visa to enter Taiwan. The application must be submitted to Taiwan’s representative office overseas for review. It will take at least three working days for the decision (visa issuance or not) to be made. It could take longer provided a large volume of visa applications have been submitted.
