Low extremity long bone fractures are among the most common fractures encountered in orthopedic practice. They can cause prolonged morbidity and extensive disability, and may be associated with multiple system injuries, especially follow after high-energy trauma events. Intramedullary interlocking nailing and minimal invasive locking plating are considered as the current treatment methods for the management of lower limb long bone fractures.

Free-hand technique of attaining "perfect-circles" with the assistance of fluoroscopy is most common method for the insertion of distal locking screw. Its pitfalls include increased operative time, increased radiation exposure, and the incidence of distal locking screw misplacement.

To solve this problem, a new ideal targeting system should not only be convenient to surgeons to effectively shorten operative duration and lower the chance of screw misplacement, but be cost-effective.
Our invention can provide orthopedic surgeons with a fast, safe, and precise targeting device for screw placement. We use electro-optical engineering to decreased radiation exposure of fluoroscopy to both the surgeons and the patients. This device is easy to learn how to use and can be applied with different brands of nails. This new technique with the targeting device will decrease operative time, decrease the misplacement rate, and decrease the radiation from fluoroscopy during operation for fractures.

The hydrogel hybrid ceramic green body is prepared then passes through the 3D printing method to provide a variety of manufacturing ability, and has a sophisticated stereoscopic structure. This technology also uses the shrinkage characteristics of the negative thermo-responsive hydrogel since the temperature rises, and it has a better sintering and densification process technology to obtain better mechanical properties.

The clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients require laboratory testing of patients’blood, urine or stool samples.These tests are carried out by central laboratories attached to hospitals, which is associated with many disadvantages including limited access for patients in home care and those living in rural/remote areas, patients with chronic diseases in rural areas are often faced with chronic diseases which require frequent monitoring of biochemical and immunological data. Doctors in rural areas also suffer from a lack of proper testing tools; similar situations occur in long-term care facilities or in ambulances where emergency testing is required.
The traditional laboratory spectrometers are characterized by large size and high cost. Recently, using cutting edge optics technology, our research team have developed a micro-spectrometer which greatly reduces the size of a standard laboratory spectrometer into a small microchip (United States patent number 2019/0162883 A1),and it only takes adrop of blood and 10 minutes for the test. When coupled to a membrane-based test strip, this portable micro-spectrometer will be able to perform most laboratory tests, which will replace standard laboratory spectrometers and reduce the need for hospital-based central laboratories. This will enable point-of-care testing for most laboratory tests to be achieved.

For patients with suspected COVID19 infection, home confinement, or follow-up of confirmed patients, rapid screening can help determine the cause of a patient\\\'s illness. In addition, the hospitalization time in the hospital should be reduced as a reference for the suitability of discharge.
