academia and research organizations with instrument technology
solutions and innovative application services. It is also the first
organization to offer one-stop services for medical devices
development, consultation, test and verification. Serving as a
national dream team, TIRI is dedicated to assisting the academia in commercializing their creative ideas. Introductions of accelerators and start-up teams, with their products and achievements.
TIE caring is a communication App for healthcare providers and patients.
The goal of “TIE caring” is to provide “seamless" healthcare. Patients can consult their doctors or nurses after they go home. Scheduled care plan, follow up reminders also can be set up in advance and send timely text messages to patients. Health education can be sent at the correct moment via text messages, pictures or video. Besides, health data or satisfaction surveys can be collected for statistical analysis.
The functions of the product includes:
1. Scheduled care plan
2. Case management
3. Peer consult
4. AI assistant
5. Case referral
6. Follow up reminders
7. Survey and report for statistical analysis
8. Family participation of caring
Conventional antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) typically requires 72-96 hr including 24 hr for blood culturing, 24 hr for pure-culture, and 24 hr for AST analysis. Precise antibiotic susceptibility information received for the long waiting time could cause the increase of death rate and the raise of antibiotic resistance during the empiric antibiotics treatment. Therefore, immediate microbial information is critically needed to establish an improved protocol for antibiotics antibiotic-selection, antibiotics does determination and drug-resistance assessment. Our OE-AST, a new culture-free AST/MIC system can save 44 hr assay time (save 24 hr from pure-culture time, and save 20 hr from AST time) with a high match rate (CA%) of 91.3% that is compared with the reports detected by VITEK2®. Not only significantly shortening AST/MIC assay times, but also simplifying traditionally complicated processes (culture-free, three steps only, minima hands-on-time), increasing the throughput via multiple-detection. This simple, label-free, highly sensitive, rapid, and elimination of sophisticated instruments assay system could improve antibiotic selection protocols in intensive care units. Therefore, the OE-AST system fits clinical need for rapid precision medicine in Sepsis.
