We introduced the flowchart of PD regimen into clinical practice setting. We standardized the protocol and turn into our patients’ medical record. he nursing staff and attending physician can reach the patient more easily without any verbal error. We turned the verbal communication into visual handover.
We design
PD HelpingHand™, a patented assistive holder for PD patients ,can help reduce the potential for infection, and it is a low-cost and lightweight device that can be single-use or multiple use, and is suitable for large scale implementation. This ergonomically designed holder helps make PD easier for patients with limited eyesight or limited hand function.
We promise
Urgent start PD is a safe way, No more leakage and early infection happened. Modified Advanced Laparoscopic implantation has more outstanding outcome.

The Child Developmental Assessment and Intervention Center was set up in our hospital in 2015. There are 25 members in our team, including pediatric psychiatrist, pediatric neurologists, pediatric physiatrists, occupational、physical、speech therapists, psychologists, social workers and case manager. In order to enhance professional capabilities, we arrange training course, hold seminars and encourage pursuing master degree. To maintain high quality of services, we hold case discussion, communicate with relevant staff, complete the reports online, reduce the waiting time for reports, and discuss with parents. About 400-500 children are assessed in our center each year; 70% of them have developmental delay, and 25% are borderline cases. We also go to the township lacking in resources, evaluate the underprivileged children. Through early assessment and intervention, as well as integration of medical care, rehabilitation, special education, family support systems, and social welfare services, we hope to reduce children with disabilities, family distress and social costs.

National Tsing Hua University / Ultrasound Imaging Core Lab -Trust Bio-sonics

Current ultrasound contrast agents are made by phospholipid-shelled monolayer microbubbles. These bubbles have a very small particle size that could make them pass through the pulmonary system and circulate in the whole body. Based on the acoustic impedance mismatch, bubbles enhance the signal intensity of backscattered ultrasound helping physicians to clearly visualize small blood vessels in an ultrasound scanning.

After the six-year R & D, TRUST Bio-sonics (the spin-off company) has successfully identified the key factors to control the particle size of the bubble. Through precisely adjusting the lipid formulations, TRUST Bio-sonics commercialized the microbubble agent with the smallest particle sizes. This series of microbubbles contrast agent has the features of low risk of local embolism, high imaging resolution and high contrast enhancement of tumors. These characteristics assist physicians to collect detail perfusion information and practice quantitative diagnosis in a contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging (CEUS). Now in Phase 1 trial (USFDA, TFDA).

We focus on the mini-invasive surgery application in orthropaedics. The subjects of our demonstration include:
1. Endoscopic shoulder joint and spine surgery in orthopaedics.
2. Endoscopic reconstruction surgery in sports medicine-the latest progress and novel application.
3. Mini-invasive application in orthropaedic trauma surgery.

“Seniors Leap Forward & Enjoy Living in Yilan"- seniors health promotion programs with the idea of "testing-exercise-testing", we tried to promote the seniors’ health by mean of activity with exercise in community. We checked the physical fitness, frailty screen with technology software, and mini-nutrition assessment firstly. Then the tailor-made exercise and diet control suggestions were arranged. The physical fitness tests were followed up 6 months later. Thus, the physical fitness of elders was continuously managed according to the test results to achieve the purpose of health promotion in communities.

本團隊以創新複合式微藻處理技術突破以往廢水處理中生物處理階段常遇到效果不彰之瓶頸,不僅可大幅改善動物飼養環境,且可有效降低廢水處理成本,友善鄰里,更可從中衍生出額外經濟效益,帶領一向被視為高污染之養豬產業升級。另外在工業廢水方面,則大幅節省用水量及降低污泥產生量,一樣能有效減少廢水處理費用,讓更多廠商願意確實投入廠內減廢,達到環境與利益兼具之雙贏局面。經過實證,利用本團隊開發之創新微藻廢水處理技術可有效將畜牧廢水中的COD、BOD、總氮及總磷在短期時間內降至放流水標準,可直接澆灌農田,或者經過簡單處理後用以清洗豬舍,而所生成之微藻藻體後續則可往飼料添加劑與有機肥料進行開發。在工業廢水方面,結果證實,本技術可有效處理異辛醇等石化廢水,兩天內便將1900 mg/L之COD值降至97 mg/L,達到放流水標準,且可有效處理高濃度異辛醇原廢水,COD去除效率有七成之高,顯現卓越處理效能,而生成之藻體將作為輔助性燃料增加燃燒熱值,也可往生質燃料進行開發,打造低排放甚至於零排放之永續環境,並貫徹我國「循環經濟」政策,提高經濟價值並達到永續經營之概念。
本團隊的創新微生物廢水處理技術,可有效淨化廢水,不但減少了廢水處理程序,需投入資金少、處理穩定性高、操作簡易,如此永續循環且親民的系統實為業界首創,與市場有高度區隔,因而具有獨佔性。全球養豬產業年產量達10億頭,估計市場達到5000億以上,而工業廢水處理市場更是龐大,預估已有2兆新台幣以上之規模。相信本團隊能以此創新廢水處理系統快速增加市場佔有率,初期目標以台灣為主,市場佔有率可達1-5%,而中長期目標期望能拓展至世界,預估總佔有率將提升至15%以上。而利用本處理技術淨化廢水的同時,轉化生成的藻體也可往具有高經濟價值微藻進行開發,包括了肥料、水產營養補充劑、生質燃料等,因此可大幅增加獲利空間,更有利於後續市場佔有率拓展。
