桃園長庚醫院顱顏外科團隊,羅慧夫醫師於1976年創立顱顏和唇顎裂治療團隊,於1981年在台北長庚創立唇顎裂暨顱顏中心,1998年移至林口長庚,2008年六月移至桃園長庚,服務唇顎裂、小耳症、顎面畸形及後天顱顏異常等,是為世界著名唇顎裂照護中心。此中心每年完成一百五十多例小耳重建手術,五百多例正顎手術及一百二十多例唇顎裂修補暨修復美容手術,自2000年開始舉辦長庚唇腭裂與顎裂論壇,對提升第三世界唇腭裂與顎顏治療水準,佔國際重要地位。

Intergrated Megneto-Chemical Sensor for On-Site Food Allergen Detection combines technologies such as chemistry, micro-electromechanics, biochemical technology, and nanotechnology. We converted the traditional large detection device (ELISA) into a keychain-size device. This portable detection device also has an IoT function, which can upload data to the cloud for calculation and storage; there are originality and breakthrough in both technology and marketability.

The Development of Microbubbles-based Medical Combination Products Combined with Ultrasound for Treating Ear Disease and Head and Neck Cancers
(1) Middle-ear dexamethasone delivery via ultrasound microbubbles attenuates noise-induced hearing loss.
(2) Poloxamer gel microbubbles can effectively achieve delayed delivery and controlled release of drugs in the inner ear.
(3) Ultrasound-induced microbubble cavitation via a transcanal or transcranial approach facilitates inner ear drug delivery.
(4) Ultrastructural changes associated with the enhanced permeability of the round window membrane mediated by ultrasound microbubbles.
(5) Insonation of systemically delivered cisplatin-loaded microbubbles significantly attenuates nephrotoxicity of chemotherapy in experimental models of head and neck cancer.
(6) Synergistic effects of combined treatment with ultrasound-mediated cisplatin-loaded microbubbles and atorvastatin on head and neck cancer.

The technology of R-cube-CE (Rapid, Rare Cell 3D Expansion) was invented by one of the spin-off companies from Academia Sinica, the most prestigious research institution in Taiwan. The company is comprised of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and experienced scientists and engineers in biology and materials engineering.
R-cube-CE is a rapid 3D culture system for single cell proliferation. It is a clinically verified platform, capable of generating single cell derived organoids within one to four weeks. It outperforms currently available 3D culture technologies in terms of yields, time to form organoids, and easiness of operation. It also demonstrates similar yields and cost structure to 2D culture protocols.
R-cube-CE is ready for drug testing for clinical samples and provides sufficient quantity genomic sample derived from cancer patients. It would be helpful in conducting clinical treatment and in practicing cancer precision medicine and regenerative medicine in translational study.
