Our OE-AST, a new culture-free AST/MIC system can save 44 hr assay time (save 24 hr from pure-culture time, and save 20 hr from AST time) with a high match rate (CA%) of 91.3% that is compared with the reports detected by VITEK2®. Not only significantly shortening AST/MIC assay times, but also simplifying traditionally complicated processes (culture-free, three steps only, minima hands-on-time), increasing the throughput via multiple-detection. This simple, label-free, highly sensitive, rapid, and elimination of sophisticated instruments assay system could improve antibiotic selection protocols in intensive care units. Therefore, the OE-AST system fits clinical need for rapid precision medicine in Sepsis.
