Environmentally friendly active fluorescent biomaterials

Organic fluorescent materials usually have a short half-life, and our team has successfully developed fluorescent biomaterials by delivering phycobilin to biomedical materials through patented technology, which can improve the fluorescence intensity of the materials and have a half-life of more than 2 years. The technology has attracted the attention of related fields, and has cooperated in the research and development of algae lamps, environmentally friendly algal windows, and cooperated with Tzu Chi Hospital to develop clinical medical materials and related biomedical applications. This creation uses specially selected blue-green algae with high content of phycobilin to cultivate in a patented designed culture tank. The culture tank can be put into specially treated materials, and the algal cells will deliver the phycobilin to these materials. Because the fluorescent phycobilin molecules will enter the structure of biomedical materials and provide related protection, it has the advantages of high fluorescence intensity and long half-life.
