This booth presents the theme of New Horizons in Long-term Care - Information Technology and Research, showcasing initiatives organized by the Hospital and Social Welfare Organizations Administration Commission of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. These initiatives include the "Constructing Integrated Health and Social Policy Plan, Prevention and Delay of Frailty and Disability, Cloud-based Smart Elderly Long-term Care Services Plan, as well as the upcoming Post-pandemic Era Digital Healthcare Remodeling Medical Care Project - Establishing a Long-term Care Cohort Research Platform to Provide Comprehensive Integrated Care for the Elderly." The booth displays past achievements and applications as well as forthcoming digital technology-led era care projects.
The showcased achievements encompass an all-inclusive day care center providing nutrition, maintenance, self-cultivation, and living care responsibilities, analysis of the data and applications of Taiwan's longitudinal research project for the middle-aged and elderly generations, and the integration of digital technology into long-term care services. These symbolize that Taiwan's Long-term Care 2.0 not only expands in terms of care recipients and service offerings but also demonstrates the exemplary fusion of information technology and innovative research and development emphasized in Taiwan.

Established in 1960, over the past century, Taipei Medical University underwent the process of continuous expansion, transformation and innovation. Today, TMU has expanded into a world-class university with 11 Colleges and 1 General Education Center, 6000 students per year, 47,000 alumni around Medical Academic Institute, Medical Industry and six affiliated hospitals which are TMU hospital, Wan Fang Hospital, Shuang Ho Hospital, Hsin Kuo Min Hospital, Tapei Cancer Center and Taipei Neuroscience Institute.

TAIPEI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY -HSIN KUO MIN HOSPITAL

Advantages of endoscopic fusion surgery over traditional forms of surgery, or even minimal invasive fusion surgery, include the ability of the endoscope to visualize different angles under higher levels of magnification, ensuring the complete removal of the intervertebral disc and endplate preparation for the subsequent fusion procedure. Through a surgical wound of only 18 mm, endoscopic fusion surgery is able to implant the same cage and pedicle screws that are implanted in traditional spine surgery. With the use of endoscope in spine surgery, the application of endoscope has broadened to include fusion surgery for further clinical benefits.

TAIPEI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH), the first affiliated hospital of Taipei Medical University (TMU), was founded in 1976 and has built up the basis between clinical service and medical research education. TMUH continues enhancing medical care quality and reinforcing the hardware and software equipment to provide high-grade medical services. Since 2018, three medical buildings have been renovated; moreover, TMUH introduced an intelligent medical system that gives the hospital a whole new look. The number of hospital beds has increased to nearly 800 beds so far, and the number of faculty and staff has exceeded 2,000 people, making TMUH the benchmark of domestic and international medium-sized hospital.
